Mama Mia! Stafford is making a song and dance about arts fest which comes to Stafford on Saturday 17th September.
A packed programme of events has been announced for the annual event which takes place in Stafford's Market Square and other locations around the town.
Stafford will be awash with colour and music as local, national and international performers bring their talent to the county town.
Organisers are promising live music and dance throughout the day with many other activities for children and families as the Arts Festival celebrates its sixth year.
Highlights will include Bollywood style dancers and a top Abba tribute band while Stafford Operatic Society will be performing songs from their forthcoming musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’
The festival is organised by Stafford Borough Council and the Town Centre Partnership and takes place from 10am on Saturday 17th September.
The Market Square will play host to many of the performances with other venues around town such as the Guildhall Shopping Centre, Ancient High House, Shirehall Gallery and Indoor Market also hosting entertainment and workshops.
Councillor Frances Beatty, Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration at the Borough Council said: “The festival provides a great draw for thousands of people who come in to the town to enjoy a vast array of entertainment. It is a wonderful day full of colour and music – and there really is something for everyone.
“It is an excellent opportunity for artists to showcase their talents, for residents and visitors to enjoy a day out, and for our county town to shine.”
