Cheese makers, breweries and local food producers will fill the Market Square in Stafford with a fantastic range products and a fine array of artisan food as the county town hosts the 2015 Stafford Cheese and Ale Festival.
Top local chefs from the Staffordshire Chefs' Forum will be doing live cookery demonstrations in the cookery theatre marquee starting at 11am.
New for the 2015 festival is “The Great Chefs Challenge” – two local chefs will go head to head in a ready, steady, cook style challenge at 1pm …..make sure you take your seats early, this will be something not to be missed.
This year, we have exhibitors, music and a special ale brewed for the festival by local brewery Titanic, and alfresco bar open from 10am – 4pm.
Live Music from Irish band Blarney Stone, Street theatre including a “Gordon Blur the juggling chef” and the opportunity to meet the festival mouse will add to the fun of the day. Bring the children along to have their faces painted in our “mouse theme”. The Stafford Morris Men will be on hand to add to the day.
Don’t miss the rare opportunity to see one of a handful of Coopers left in the country practising the art of making traditional wooden barrels.
